去年十月，加拿大兒科協會為了促使加拿大政府允許兒童安樂死，發佈了一份名為 “Medical Assistance in Dying: A Paediatric Perspective” 從兒科視角看醫助死亡報告。
另外，今年四月由加拿大安大略省政府資助的一個有關兒童醫療保健研討會內，有一個環節名為 “Developing a policy on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) for Paediatric Patients” 「為兒科病人發展有關醫助死亡的政策」 。會議之後，他們更舉行一個美酒芝士派對。
藥物是用作醫治疾病，而非殺害生命，【緩和鎮靜與安樂死是不一樣的】。令人驚訝的是竟然有如此多專家對於安樂死的看法，與大部分的家長和兒童的看法完全不同。更荒謬的是，竟然更舉行了一個美酒芝士派對。
今日的字是”absurd”。 “Absurd”就是「不合邏輯」、「荒謬」的意思。
