Original story at 为什么“儿童节不要堕胎”
Translated by Curtis Wong

We learned about the situation of a mother from Anhui (we’ll call her “W”). This was W’s third child, and her husband felt a lot of pressure about this. Taking care of two children wasn’t too bad, but the arrival of a third child seemed like much too heavy a commitment for them.

The husband’s attitude showed he was determined (to abort). And W was swaying back and forth. Although she talked about how there was just too much pressure from those around her, the way she spoke led us to believe that she was very sad about the decision. Yes, the child’s heart had already beaten countless times, so how could she bear to throw it away?

During an online conversation, W said that her husband had already bought chemical abortion drugs. She already had the drug in her hand. She felt that this was the final stage, and that there was really nothing else to consider.

I said, “Just because you’ve bought it doesn’t mean you have to take it! Just throw it away.”

Because of this, at a moment where she thought there was no turning back, she followed her heart and gave birth to a third child.

She did not regret making this decision.
